Mossy tree stump- size MEDIUM (approximately 6-8 in. Tall x 6-8 inch wide) – Established moss and lichens on a stump for gardens or terrariums- A real tree stump covered in beautiful living moss and lichens! All of the stumps are 100% NATURE made and unique to themselves! Most of the stumps are preserved cedar hearts, so they will take many years to rot- even in an outside environment! These logs come from old logging grounds- where they cut trees for sawmill lumber. They are all very old stumps, some may even be older than 50 years old! They are all a beautiful work of art by Mother Nature herself! These stumps are perfect to add to medium to large terrariums, gardens or landscape projects. The stumps with holes would make great flower planters!
* Just know- these are very old stumps with many imperfections, which just adds to its character! Some of the stumps have been drilled out in the centers to remove extra dirt and debris. all the stumps have some bald spots here and there.
* I do the best I can to remove little critters, sometimes one might be hiding from me and get shipped away with the log!
* When you receive your stump, the moss will be in a dried, dormant state. After placing it in its new home, simply give it a watering, or mist to rehydrate the moss (like you would a plant). If you plan on placing your stump outdoors, find a location where there is sufficient light and moisture within a moderate temperature zone. There is no need to water your stump if kept outdoors. Nature will take care of itself. If kept indoors, light watering or misting is advised on occasions (like you would care for any indoor live mosses).
